Is it? I think it is if you look at it compared to to other movies. But I have heard some doubts about it so is it the longest running film series ? with 22 Bond films in total up to now.

They might not be a series, but Dracula movies have been officialy going since 1931, and unofficialy sine 1922. Sherlock Holmes even further back than that. But like I said, I wouldn't call either of them a series. So yes, Bond is the longest running film series at 47 years.
