Subject: James Bond Likely To Be Played By Will Smith Or Christian Bale After Daniel Craig Say Paddy Power Wed Aug 05, 2009 4:19 pm |

Daniel Craig is only two Bond films into his James Bond career but Paddy Power are already betting on will replace ‘James Blond’. There is a very surprising name at the head of the market.
Big Surprise At Favourite To Be Next James Bond The current favourite would not only be the first American actor to play James Bond, he would also be the first black actor to play James Bond. The favourite is non other than the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, Will Smith. Will Smith is rated a 4/1 favourite with Paddy Power so they must be pretty sure he is under consideration. Paddy Power offer odds of 7/4 that the next Bond is black and 2/5 that he is white.
Christian Bale Looks Better Bet Than Clive Owen At Same Odds Clive Owen and Christian Bale are next best, both can be backed at 8/1 with Paddy Power. Owen was overlooked when Daniel Craig was given the job so is likely to miss out again but Christian Bale looks the perfect choice, he has already done a great job with the Batman franchise and importantly he is British (as is Owen). Bale is a good bet at 8/1 with Paddy Power.
Some Very Unusual Names Being Linked To James Bond Unusual choices to be the next James Bond include Ewan Mcgregor at 20/1 with Paddy Power, Colin Farrell at 40/1 with Paddy Power and Russell Crowe at 80/1 with Paddy Power. To find out the odds on P Diddy, Hugh Grant, Robbie Williams or anyone else visit the Paddy Power website and click on Novelty Bets.
Whats your take on this?

I think Will Smith is a funny guy (esp: Men In Black/MIB2), and he's come a long way since his 'Fresh Prince' days. He doesn't take himself seriously, and he seems quite down to earth. Christian Bale on the other hand, always looks serious, and is prone to havng a hisseyfit.
But I wan't neither actor as Bond.
